Beware all ye who enter here! (A St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun tale)

This morning we were called upon to babysit our youngest granddaughter while her parents went for a morning workout. Her older sister was out-of-town but her best friend was there for a sleepover. It’s a good thing I’m not a leprechaun (at 6′ 4″, I’ve never been mistaken for one). There to greet us was a leprechaun trap! I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

A very friendly welcome sign....

What leprechaun could resist?

An inviting trail.....

The suspense builds...

Just a lit bit farther......

Nearing the end of the rainbow....

Finally, the pot of gold!

And jewelry!.

The intrepid leprechaun trappers and their own pot of gold.

DISCLAIMER:

No actual leprechaun was harmed in the writing of this blog.

Don’t you just love being grandparents? Loved the pictures.

    • Al says:

Like the man said, “if I had known how much fun it was, I would have skipped parenting and gone straight to grand-parenting!”

P.S. I sent you an email a few days ago at your verizon address but I think it may have gone to your spam folder. Check it out and let me know and I can resend it.

  3. Adorable! You lucky Grandpa, you! 🙂

Don’t keep us in suspense, Al…did they catch any? One of my employee’s 6-year-old son laid a similar elaborate trap – how fun!

    • Al says:

No leprechauns caught but there were some goodies left in the pot of gold. They looked strangely like some things my wife had bought at the store. Hmmmm…..

Clever, clever, gals. I bet you had a great day.

  7. OMG they are adorable. Surely not related?? They look like my granddaughters when they were younger. Dianne

A lovely tale and such sweet looking little ladies…I bet that together they are a bundle of fun!

Your turn to write, but please don't be wittier than me. My ego is quite fragile.
